historic preservation photography
Photography through the eyes of a historic preservationist. Architecture, cemeteries, classic cars, statues, ghost towns and bridges are just a few of the subjects that are captured in my images.

Growing up in San Diego, California, I was inspired by my mother's love for architecture to become an architect myself. My mother and I would drive all over San Diego admiring new and historic architecture. Over the years, I have spent many years studying architecture and earned a Masters in Preservation Studies from the School of Architecture at Tulane University. While I was studying historic preservation in New Orleans, Louisiana, I took a photography course to aid in the documentation of historic architecture. While studying and practicing photography, composition and print making, I discovered that photography is the art that suits me best. Photography combines the artistic and technical sides of my confused mind.

Through my preservation studies I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places that I would love to visit again. Many of my favorite images were captured during my travels through parts of California, Cuba, England, Louisiana and Montana. I plan to continue traveling and capturing images in all parts of the world.
